What is behind the login?

How do I log in?

I am having trouble logging in. What should I do if:

...I don't know or can't remember my Login Name or Password?

...I receive a message that the Alumni Site doesn't recognize me as an active Educational Counselor?

...I receive a message that there is an error when I try to log into the system: "cookies not active?"

What is behind the login?

The EC Website is a private site reserved only for active ECs. It offers information, resources, and tools to help you make the most of your volunteer experience.

How do I log in?

1. Click on the link "Educational Counselor Login."

2. You will be taken to the Alumni Association login screen. Log in using your Alumni Association username and password. Your username is username@alum.mit.edu. By logging in through the Alumni Association, we will be verifying that you are listed as an active EC. After the Alumni Association login page verifies you are an EC, you will automatically be sent to the EC member web site.

If you cannot remember your password or have never been assigned one, you will need to contact the Alumni Association by clicking here or by calling 617-253-8200 (toll free 800-648-1865).

To authenticate you as an active EC and let you into the EC Website, two separate systems have to verify that you are an active EC: the Alumni Association Database and the EC Database.

You should contact the EC Office at 617.253.3354 or ecquestions@mit.edu and report your problem.   From the EC Office, we are able to check and update both systems. However, it takes a while for both systems to update, so you will remain out of commission for at least another few hours.
